From: Keely
Subject: La Fonda and Baja Beach Bed and Breakfast.
I am finally making my report on the Baja Beach Bed & Breakfast ("the B-4") run by Baja Brent. It is located just South of the LaFonda Inn.
Both places can now be booked via e-mail, which will save anyone else trips down just to book a room.

The addresses are:
LaFonda Hotel: LFreserv@telnor.net (this is an independent booking agent)
Baja Brent: bravehrt@telnor.net.

Brent also has a newsletter that he will e-mail to you with the latest activities and rental deals. He is connected to the LaFonda, and several other rentals/ B'nBs in addition to the B-4. As for our experience at the B-4 it was good.

There are something like 8 rooms, some with their own bathrooms, others share, it all depends on the price. We had the front ocean-view room with a private entrance , (I think there are two, maybe three rooms like this) and there was a hammock right outside the door. It was perfect for relaxing, listening to the ocean, which is right there.

There is a public beach where horses can be rented just down from the B-4, walking distance
(5 min. at most.) Expect to room with various ants and spiders in all corners of the room, and the main part of the house is open to guest use, with TV/VCR stereo, and a great selection of music! It is very relaxing as I mentioned, and a casual atmosphere. Brent knows all the hot spots for clubbing and hanging out if that's what you're looking for.

He himself can usually be found at the La Fonda. The food there (La Fonda) is still everything people say it is---amazing! Go there for a treat, and a break from typical Mexican food (a break from typical food in general!) We enjoyed our stay and felt well-rested upon our return to Orange County.
